An impressive late 19th Century North German painted pine wardrobe ,ca. 1860.The substantial, moulded cornice sits above a pair of large double doors, each cleanly divided into three classic fielded panels with distinct recessed borders. The doors open via a decorative escutcheon and original lock mechanism to reveal a generous interior space. Raised on a solid , deep plinth base terminating in elegant bracket feet.The wardrobe is supplied with a clothes hanging rail. Finishing features a highly desirable distressed off-white chalk finish with light blue corners subtly highlighting the architectural mouldings and panel frames while preserving the rustic , aged character of the underlying timber. This wardrobe completely dismantles into flat sections for easy transporting and seamless installation into awkward spaces or narrow staircases, remaining exceptionally sturdy and solid once reassembled. Wardrobe inside depth measurements is 49 cm .
