This lovely vintage deckchair from 1910 has a slatted back and leg supports and a cane work seat . Unfortunately the brass plaque is missing , but this deckchair is exactly like the deckchairs from the R.M.S. Lusitania (torpedoed 7th May, 1915). Ref. Sale 9969 , Maritime and Naval battles, Christies London, South Kensington , 17 November 2004. The deck chair has been carefully restored and the seat has been re-caned.
