DETAILS

Of elegant, tall proportions, this handsome Scandinavian provincial chest is constructed from solid pine and finished in a beautifully patinated pale pink chalk paint. The pink is close to F&B "Setting Plaster". The chest features a subtle stepped overhanging top above an arrangement of five gratuated horizontal drawers, providing ample storage. Each drawers framed with delicate panel moulding and retains its period-correct brass backplates with drop-ring handles and the diamond-shaped brass keyhole escutcheons. The carcass is supported by slightly tapered feet, showcasing the restrained classicism typical of late-period Danish provincial design. The drawer-runners and drawers have been restored so that the drawers run very smoothly.
